Japanese Ukiyoe art is centuries old and and is inspired by various beautiful images ranging from courtesans & kaubuki themes to samurai warriors & sumo wrestlers. Traditional tarot themes are blended with the the ancient Japanese asthetic, creating a mysterious and powerful tool for us to use today.
“UKIYOE” in Japanese is a Buddhist term which means “floating world.” It is in the beautiful and peaceful style of the ukiyoe, where transcending time and space comes together seemlessly with the the ephemeral aspects of life, such as sorrow, pleasure and fate.
